About the Program
The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) has established a micro feed–in tariff (FIT) program that enables producers of small renewable energy projects to be connected to the grid. The OPA will pay you a guaranteed price of 80.2 cents per kWh for Roof Mount Systems, and 64.2 cents per kWh for Ground Mount Systems over 20 years for solar-generated electricity you feed into the grid. Also, by participating, you are becoming part of Ontario’s solar solution.
Who can participate in this program?
Home and business owners in Ontario now have the opportunity to invest in Ontario’s green energy plan. The OPA is presently accepting applications from interested residents that would like to invest in this program and realize a very generous return.
What are the financial details of this program?
You can have a solar energy installation on your home, business or property sized up to 10 kilowatt (kW). The OPA will pay you a guaranteed price of 80.2 cents per kWh for Roof Mount Systems, and 64.2 cents per kWh for Ground Mount Systems over 20 years. Under the program, you could earn in excess of $180,000.00 profit over and above the cost of your system. You will be paid monthly on kilowatt-hours produced and you will be profitable from month one. You also add value to your building or land by installing a renewable energy system. This is a great financial opportunity for all Ontarian’s.

- Building and/or land analysis,
- Electrical balance of systems analysis,
- Financial review and system proposal.

- Draft structural design plans for permit submission,
- Assist in your microFIT application,
- Assist in your application for a building permit,
- Create a timeline for your project,
- After installation has been completed, finalize inspections,

Once your system is operating, we continue to help as follows:
- In the first year, perform quarterly system checks to ensure all aspects of the physical install are performing the way the system was engineered,
- Monitor the performance of your system via computer and provide you with substantive evaluation reports,
- Provide you with a proposal for an annual maintenance and monitoring package that will service your needs.
